Customer Service Representative

Reports To: COO

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing customers with product and service information, for answering questions and resolving issues related to products, services, pricing and orders. Interacts with customers via telephone and email, and offering appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits. Works with other internal departments to assure delivery schedule. Reviews and responds to inquiries regarding status of orders/projects. Generally, acts as customer liaison, and takes the extra mile to engage customers. Routes inquiries and requests throughout ChemGenes to ensure prompt and courteous resolution to all customer issues.

The ideal candidate loves talking to people and proactively solving issues.

Essential Job Functions

The major tasks and duties of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Communicate with customers via phone and email,
  • Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about product, pricing and availability,
  • Work with internal departments to meet customer's needs,
  • Data entry in various platforms.

Preparation, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • At least 1–3 years of relevant work experience,
  • Excellent phone etiquette and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
